International Fair 2010

A quick note on this year's international fair:

As many of you know it will be held on Saturday March 20th . All students were asked to pay a 3500 colones fee; while many of you might think "Oh we already pay too much at school, now this?" Oops, wrong. Remember when years ago parents were asked to bring FOOD instead? Well, instead of donating food for the fair, the administration decided it was easier for most parents who don't like to cook to just donate the money and they would take care of the food themselves. Pretty efficient, is it not? Remember ALL PROFIT MADE DURING THE EVENT goes to CHARITY. Feel free to stop by the administration and ask about the charities done last year, Mercedez and Roxana will be more than happy to show you the pictures.

So please, pay the fee as soon as possible, it will really help the charities' success.

Secondly, and this is where us students come in, we should be starting the decorations this week. Here's a list of the countries by yeargroup:

Senior 1 - Peru
Senior 2 - Uruguay
Senior 3 - Spain
Senior 4 - India
Senior 5 - Lebanon
Senior 6 & 7 - Disneyland & South Africa 2010 (World Cup)

Start brainstorming, go to wikipedia, look for cool symbols that might help decorate your stand. Most ideas will be taken into account. Our only rule is NO MORE CREPE PAPER CHAINS. All materials such as posters, paints, etc. will be provided upon reasonable request.

Contact Valeria Flores (S7), Maria Fernanda Rodriguez (S6) or Luis Diego Gene (S7) anytime during break if you have any ideas or requests. Maybe (we're not sure yet) we might manage to get some sort of reward for the best decoration during the fair!

Back online!

For those who don't check twitter or facebook, well, check it :). As we mentioned, we'll be back online soon, this week at the latest with the latest coverage on School Politics and School regulations. We're still looking for help on articles, pictures, videos, etc! Remember, this blog is CREATED by students and made FOR students, anything of such nature is welcome!
